January Thaw

The traditional influx of Bald Eagles at Farmington Bay hasn't happened yet, and the situatin had us  a bit concerned during our most recent visit. No Eagles or Owl, muddy roads--at least duck huntng seaso is over. After checking our ten-year plus history of recording bird sightings show that we have seen numbers in double figures before February only once. The numbers really pick up in February and it's likely due to the killing of carp by the Utah DWR. Bald Eagle Day is scheduled for February 13th this year. We look forward to more Eagles next month, but will skip "Eagle Day."
